Bedrooms and Linens
Linens will not be provided at the shack and each family will need to bring their own linens and towels. There are three queen size beds.
If you are using an owners bedroom, please remove any bedding that may be on the bed and use your own bedding / linen. When you leave, please remake the bed and leave the room as you found it.
Please respect the owners personal items within their rooms and throughout the shack.
Pantry and Fridge
Please take all food, milk and other dairy etc with you after your week at the shack.
Condiments, sauce etc will be provided but if you finish one of these then please buy another to replace it.
Owners have their own food drawer and food shelf for personal use. Please don't touch the food on these shelves unless you have organised with the owners to do so.
When leaving the shack turn the fridge off at the powerpoint and prop doors open to avoid fridge getting smelly. This won't apply if you've spoken with the next group coming in and they've said "Leave it on."
Dishwasher
Load / unload dishwasher and put items away as needed.
Finish branded dishwashing tablets will provided.
If you use the last dishwasher tablet or find none then please only purchase FINISH branded dishwashing tablets.
When leaving the shack please ensure the dishwasher is empty
Leave the dishwasher door propped open with tea towel to avoid dishwasher getting smelly.
Dining Table / Chairs & Couch
Place mats to be used at all times.
Coasters to be used at all times.
No shoes / sandals on dining chairs to avoid scratches / damage to the vinyl seat cushions.
To protect the couch please cover it with the sheets provided when staying with kids / little ones under Tracey's bed.
Cleaning
At the end of the allocated week, each family will be responsible for ensuring the shack is thoroughly cleaned, ready for the next family. A cleaning manual which details the area's and items to be cleaned and the condition the shack is to be left in is located in the shack.
Septic Rules
Please refrain from:
Flushing sanitary items, tissues or wipes as these will block the pipes.
Using bleach in the toilet as this will upset the microbiome of the septic tank.
To lessen the load on the septic system:
Please shower children outside where and when possible (weather permitting).
Please refrain from long showers.
Property Damage / Accidents
If there is any damage to the property or accidents, the family that is using the shack for that week will be resposible for ensuring it is repaired. If there is damage that may be covered by insurance, please contact Breanna.
If there is damage to crockery ie: plates, glasses etc, please let the family know. These can easily be replaced by similar Kmart products (nearest Kmart is Victor Harbour)
